This podcast takes the archive of the Edition S Press as a jumping off point. Departing from this collection, it touches upon topics such as sound poetry, acoustic litterature, speech, listening, Lettraset and DIY.
S Press was a publishing label that issued sound works in the format of audio cassettes. It was founded in 1969 by Angela Koehler, Nikolaus Einhorn and Axel Knipschild, later joined by Michael Koehler who ran it until 2005. The archive of S Press was introduced to us by media artist and author of acoustic text Marc Matter, who researched and assembled the online collection linked here above.
